Before the age of thirty, Michelangelo created some of the world’s most iconic marble sculptures:

• La Pietà – a breathtaking expression of beauty and grief

The program also examines Michelangelo’s monumental achievement in the Sistine Chapel ceiling frescoes, completed at thirty-seven. Through its detailed depiction of the Creation of the Universe, Creation of Mankind, and humanity’s Fall from Grace, guests will gain insight into his complex artistic vision rooted in spirituality, classical influence, and masterful knowledge of human anatomy.
