Join us at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of L’Idea Magazine, a cornerstone of Italian-American culture since its founding in 1974. What began as a small association newspaper has blossomed into a vibrant cultural periodical for Italians in the United States, expanding its pages, diversifying its content, and winning numerous awards along the way.

Over the years, L’Idea has sponsored a variety of cultural and social events, from Miss Puglia USA and Miss Idea to prestigious awards like the Premio Puglia and L’Idea Award for Journalism. The magazine has also been involved in plays and even one opera, always striving to promote and celebrate Italian heritage.

Tiziano Thomas Dossena, who joined the staff in 1988 and became Editorial Director in 1990, will lead the anniversary lecture. He will guide us through the magazine’s fascinating evolution, its notable interviews, and its continued mission. This is a unique opportunity…
