About the Author: Patricia M. Salmon, retired Curator of History from the Staten Island Museum, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her writing. With five authored books under her belt, including "Staten Island's Brewery Barons," "Realms of History: The Cemeteries of Staten Island," and "The Staten Island Ferry: A History," Salmon is deeply ingrained in Staten Island's historical landscape. She is also actively involved in the Tottenville Historical Society and serves as the Historian for the Friends of the Olmsted-Beil House. Additionally, Salmon has shared her expertise as an educator at both the College of Staten Island and Wagner College.
