Join us for a meaningful afternoon with Dr. Frances R. Curcio — Professor Emerita at Queens College, CUNY, renowned educator, researcher, Italian American scholar, and recipient of multiple awards for her contributions to education and cultural preservation.


Dr. Curcio will present her newest publication, The Case of Antonio Meucci and the Telephone: Just the Facts, co-authored with Dr. Myra Zarnowski, who will also be in attendance for this special event. Published by Idea Press, this compelling work explores the life of Antonio Meucci through original documents, testimonies, and historical evidence, shedding new light on the long-contested question: Who truly invented the telephone?


Adding a heartfelt dimension to the afternoon, Dr. Zarnowski’s nephews, Corbin and Zachary — the book’s very first readers and critics — will also be present. Their early feedback helped shape the final manuscript and represents the intergenerational spirit behind this project.
