À propos de l'événement
Join the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum for a special afternoon with author Theresa Lombardi Magistro, who will discuss her newly published memoir, Antonetta: An Immigrant’s Story.
Born in Italy in 1901, Antonetta was a courageous and determined woman whose journey carried her from an impoverished village to a new life across the Atlantic—and even included a brief adventure in television. Told through the voice of her youngest child, the book preserves the stories that Antonetta’s great-grandchildren treasured and asked to hear time and again, including a moving experience involving Padre Pio.
Through stories of immigration, family, faith, sacrifice, and resilience, Antonetta’s life offers a powerful reminder that even the quietest lives can leave the deepest impressions. As her journey nears its end, she shares gentle wisdom about love, farewell, and the fortitude needed to face life’s final chapter with serenity.
